Need quick advice from career experts on your major and career exploration? Want to learn about UW majors, career paths, and how they match your skills and interests? Join the Career Exploration Center at our drop-in events to chat with a career advisor!
These events are open to all undergraduate students, regardless of school or college, major, and year in school. Registration is not required – just stop by 114 Ingraham Hall!

Tune in to Strive Out: Career Readiness
Are you seeking to understand who you are and what you want to do in college and beyond? Interested in reflecting on how your cultural identity relates to your academic and career decisions? Looking for support and community with other UW-Madison students as you work toward your goals? We invite you to participate in our career readiness series called “Tune In to Strive Out!”
With a small community of fellow students, this interactive program will help you build skills and confidence in:
- Understanding who you are and what you want to do in college and beyond
- Explore career and major paths through embracing your skills, values, interests
- Connecting your identity to your academic and career decisions
- Navigating the world of work
It’s free and takes place over five sessions in February and March – and dinner is included each time! Space is limited, so we encourage you to sign up today. You must be able to attend all five sessions.
Bonus: When you’ve completed the five sessions, a CEC career advisor will write you a recommendation to be posted on your LinkedIn profile for employers and others to know that you’ve developed and fine-tuned your career navigation skills.
